L-Series Lounge Seating – General Specifications

END FRAME ASSEMBLY

End frames are constructed of legs that are 1" thick x 3"W, a bottom stretcher rail 1" thick x 2-1/4"W, and a top arm rail 2-1/2"W x 1" thick that is arched to match the radius of the arm.

All components are constructed from solid red oak. All joints are mortised, tenoned, and glued to form a solid unit.

The arm is 1" thick x 3-3/8"W at the front and tapers to 2-5/8" at the back. The arm is constructed of solid red oak and steam bent to a 72" radius.

The front stretcher and front seat rail are 3"W x 1" thick solid red oak. The back seat rail is 2-3/4"W x 1" thick solid red oak.

Cross stretchers and seat rails are mortised, tenoned, and glued into the side frames.

UPHOLSTERED SEAT AND BACK

The seat and back frame are a single piece of 3/4" bent plywood.

The seat portion is fitted with Dimatrol Webbing and covered with black cambric fabric for comfort.

This is then covered with 3-1/2" thick foam, also used on the chair back.

The entire seat and back assembly is upholstered in specified fabric, except for the underside of the seat, which is covered with black cambric fabric.

Fabrics meeting California Technical Bulletin #133 are available.

Seat height at front: 16-3/4"
Arm height: 24-9/32"

WOOD PLATEN FOR SIDE FRAME (OPTIONAL)

A 1/4" thick wood platen can be inserted into the side frame at time of manufacture.

This frame is constructed of 1/4" veneered plywood and is mortised into adjoining frame members.

UPHOLSTERED SIDE FRAME (OPTIONAL)

The side frame is upholstered using 1/4" fire-resistant polyurethane foam over a 1/4" platen and covered with selected upholstery material.
