Almon "Chico" Bargas started his career in school furniture in 1958, at American Desk Manufacturing Company located in Temple, Texas. Over the next twenty years, he traveled South and West Texas as a Direct Sales Representative setting a standard of quality for educational furnishings.  Chico did take a break from American Desk Manufacturing Company in 1961-1962 when the National Guard Unit, the 49th Armored Division, was called to active duty because of Berlin Crisis.  Most people are not familiar with or heard of the Berlin Wall therefore confuse our activation with the Cuban Missile Naval Blockade.  Chico returned to American Desk Manufacturing Company where he made a lot of good friends in the school industry that believed in him.  In May of 1997, American Desk Manufacturing Company was sold compelling Chico to establish A. Bargas & Associates which lead the company was restructured to a Limited Liability Corporation in 2001.  

Over the years, A. Bargas & Associates LLC has a reputation for providing school districts with the highest quality furniture at the fairest prices.  We have continued to expand our network of relationships to now offer additional providers of classroom and office furnishings, a greater variety of seating options, including management, lounge, lecture room, auditorium, and stadium, as well as residence life and dormitory furnishings.  As we continue to collaborate with architects, interior designers, and manufacturers to add new products and services, our mission is to provide our customers with quality products and exceptional customer service.
