MET 1 – Metro Series Chairs, Leg Base without Arms Seating

CHAIR FRAME

• Each frame member is constructed from 1-1/4" hardwoods.
• All frame joints are mortised, tenoned, and glued.
• All frames have a 3/4" solid hardwood support brace in each corner to provide additional strength.
• All seats are fastened with six "Z" brackets routed into the frame and screwed into the bottom of the seat.

CHAIR SEAT

• Chair seats are 1/2" thick bent multi-ply faced with select hardwood veneers.

UPHOLSTERED SEAT

• Upholstered seats receive 1-1/2" thick HR-55, 2.8 density, 55 ILD foam.
• Foam is covered with a selected upholstery material wrapped around and stapled to the underside of the seat panel.

WOOD CHAIR BACKS

• Chair backs are 5/8" thick bent multi-ply faced with select hardwood veneers.
• Adult backs measure 6-1/2" H x 20-1/4" W.
• Youth backs measure 5-7/8" H x 17-3/8" W.

UPHOLSTERED CHAIR BACKS

• Upholstered chair backs have a curved plywood back platen.
• Receive 1/2" thick 1835 FR, 1.8 density, 35 ILD foam.
• Foam is covered with selected upholstery material wrapped around and stapled to the back of the platen.
• Upholstered back platen is screwed to the wood back from the rear support.

UPHOLSTERY MATERIALS AND FABRICS

• Brodart fabric selections and polyurethane foam are fire rated.
• Fabrics meeting California Technical Bulletin #133 are available.

GLIDES

• Each chair leg is equipped with a 7/8" diameter rubber-cushioned glide.
