Mitchell ST-4872 PorTables

The ST-4872 is a 48" x 72" shaped mobile folding cafeteria whose unique shape provides more seating in the same area than conventional tables and chairs. The table is accessible from either end of the bench. Pedestal end-leg design means there are no seat crossbars or understructure elements to obstruct access or lessen seating comfort. It rolls through standard doors in its storage position. End legs and center bench supports are nickel-chrome. All other metal parts are powder coated.

Mitchell End Legs: Engineered for strength   & durability, ST end legs are made with three1-1/16” O.D. x .072 thick steel tubes.  Better materials translates into decades of use         

Center Security: 1/2” steel lock bar at the center of  the table securely fits into 7 gauge vertical hinges while in user position, preventing table jackknife.  1”x 1” box steel uplock secures table when in upright position.   

Proper Knee Clearance: 17” H seating provides proper knee clearance from the understructure.  Tables are available in 27” and 29” height.

Mitchell Seating: 10” x 40” benches or 10” x 16” seats are roomy & made of the same material as the tabletop. Mitchell doesn’t use plastic in it’s seating structures.     

Table top Supports: TWO 1-3/4” deep “U” shaped apron channels, made of 16-gauge cold rlled steel combine with twin dual 1” x 1” box steel tube center legs designed to provide positive, direct support for each half  of the table.   

Sanitary Top: High pressure laminate top & rigid plastic backer below are bonded to 3/4” - 45 lb. density Core.  A large color selection is available.

Mitchell Lift System: Torsion bars - one in each table leg provide controlled and uncomplicated lift assistance 

Adjusting Brace Rods: Every floor is different our brace rods  can be field adjusted to bring table tops into the proper parallel relationship with the floor       

Non-mar Swivel Casters: Table end legs are equipped with   large 4” (101.6 mm), non-floor marring, hard rubber casters that will move the table smoothly from storage into service 

Steel Finish Choice: Legs with nickel chrome or black powder coat.  Other steel parts are powder coated Black, durable w/a nice appearance, that is easy to maintain. 

 Unitized Construction: Each table has welded steel brackets and fittings that solidly join and position legs and bench under structure to channel/apron supports and anchor the torsion bar assist mechanism.       

Select an Edge: Choice of either DuraEdge™ extended vinyl bull nose on 3/4” Resin Wood. Or DuraBond™ sprayed-on Polyurea, moisture resistant edge on 3/4” MDF core. 

Laminate: Hundreds of laminate choices from Wilsonart or Pionite - surfaces that are designed for active use    and easy maintenance.  Choose a contrasting color for table and bench or seat top.

 Air Craft Lock Nuts: Only the finest quality bolts and nuts are used at all pivot points.  Lock nuts resist tampering and wont loosen over time, an extra measure of security.

Table Top Supports Two full length, 1-3/4” D  x 16-gauge cold rolled steel apron channels with rounded edges and dressed off end fittings for safety. 

Twin Dual Center Legs 1” x 1” 16-gauge box tubing at the center of the table provides positive, direct support for each half of the table top. 

End Legs Consists of three tubes for rigid, long lasting strength.  One is welded on top, the bottom tube has an extra tube inside.  Outer tubes have minimum wall thickness of .072”. 

Seating Benches are 10” x 40” and individual seats are 10” x 16”.  Positioned at 17” H, each provide proper knee clearance from understructure.   

Table & Seat Tops Table tops, benches & seats are made with 45lbs density board with high pressure laminated top, balanced with durable backer.  Tops are edged with either Mitchell custom DuraEdge™ vinyl, extended bullnose for maximum bump protection.  Or DuraBond™ Polyurea, moisture retardant edge on 3/4” MDF core with Phenolic Backer.   

Fasteners Tops are attached with full threaded, hex head screws with a minimum holding power of 300lbs.  Each fastener is machine driven and seated.  The hex head permits normal maintenance of units if required.

 Locks Automatically engage when folded and when in-use.  Locks are easily accessible from both sides of the table. 

Unitized Construction Welded steel brackets and fittings solidly join and position legs to channel support aprons and anchor the torsion bar lift assists. 

Lift Assists Industry best dual lift assists, both concealed torsion bars and extension springs for easy operation throughout the use of the table. 

Finish End legs are available in either Black Epoxy Powder Coat or Nickel Chromium.  The understructure is black powder coat.
